The Federal Ministry of Aviation has overall responsibility for the
formulation and management of Government's aviation policies in Nigeria.
It is empowered under the Nigeria Civil Aviation Act of 1964 to make
policies and regulate air navigation .
The Ministry is also directly responsible for overseeing air
transportation, airport development and maintenance, provision of
aviation infrastructural services and other needs arising from a wide
spectrum of the aviation industry both nationally and globally.
